What's New In iPod, iPad, and iPhone iOS 5 & Direct Downloads

Apple has just released its final version of iOS 5 on the 12th of October that is 13th of October in Malaysia. iOS devices' users had been very excited towards the release of the final version of iOS 5 which came with a major upgrade in a form of incentive from the Apple. I was excited yet also delighted because I managed to download the firmware early in the morning with the unusual speed, what a grateful morning I had! So what are the major upgrades that made iPod, iPhone, and iPad users crave for updating their iOS devices as soon as possible? The iMessage, Notification Center, and Wi-fi Sync are the main feature that made me craved for the update personally as multitouch gestures I had them months before the final version release without jailbreaking. Unfortunately, the multitouch gestures are only available for both iPad and iPad 2 users.

First, right after you updated your iOS devices to iOS 5, the feature you will be first experienced with is PC Free.

Let us go in brief, finally numerous new sounds were added for selections in ringtone, text tone, new & sent mail, tweet, and so on. iCloud, a wireless storage for users' musics, photos, documents, reminders, bookmarks, and more will be pushed to the iOS devices wirelessly. Next, Notification Center settings. We are able to sort our notifications manually or by time, customize the alert styles, and so on. The notifications work like a charm! The integration of Twitter in iOS 5 allows us to tweet our photos, Safari, YouTube, and more right from the apps themselves. The keyboard shortcut is another great feature for users to type only "hhh" as "hahaha" on the keyboard as an example, it is also customizable by users for any shortcuts on the words they want.

The Notification Center allows you to simply swipe to view them from the lockscreen and also swipe them down from status bar

The user interface of Mail has improved especially on the ability of styling your words while composing your emails and quote leveling.

Besides having the ability to edit your photos, you are also able to create photo albums too!

Split keyboard is nice but I need some time for getting used to it. Calendar is now allowing users to view calendars by year.

Despite the other new features of Newsstand, Safari Reader, Game Center, and Air Mirroring, these are all the feature that I personally find them interesting. The performance of my iPad 2 in iOS 5 is not affected as expected as it is still considered as the youngest product of iPad family. The battery? I find it drains a little bit more faster but this must be due to the settings of fetching mails and notifications.

So, what are your opinions on the new iOS 5? Or are you still looking for the iOS 5 firmware downloads?
