After 6 days over the Christmas in 2011, was the New 2012 Year Eve when my friends and I went for our countdown in Straits Quay where everyone will be able to enjoy the fireworks upon the countdown towards 2012 from the last day of 2011. The marina mall that night was crowded with people who were excited in welcoming 2012 and also awaited for the release of the beautiful fireworks by the sea too!
The huge Christmas tree were still being displayed in Straits Quay lighted up with beautiful tiny little LED bulbs. Spaces of every corner in the mall were filled with people as there were various activities being held. People were smiling, laughing, chatting, loitering, gathering, taking photos, and so on as we were walking through.
Walked through the main lobby of Straits Quay, there was a gigantic crowd gathered around the promenade where there was a live band performing at that moment. Squeezing through the crowds while we made our way towards the other end, we met our high school friend. We walked out of the crowd for football while waiting for the countdown which was a few minutes to come.
The "
local football team" of the night celebrated their New Year Eve in Straits Quay. Simon, Raykee, Chien Chern, Arron, and I were so excited when the fireworks has started. We rushed towards the right spot for the fireworks as soon as we realized that we were waiting in the wrong spot. But nevermind, I got a few perfect shots below. Enjoy!
Last but not least, my new year resolution is get smarter and get healthier! What is yours?
