The operating system running on this device is called MeeGo. As mentioned earlier in this post, it is an Linux-based open source software managed by Linus Foundation, a conclusion of a sleek yet neat user interface can be concluded right away when you are interacting with this Nokia N9. The interface is lovely as I simply went across the applications. It is sort of the two dominant multitouch operating systems available in the market today, in between. The only thing the owner, a friend of mine, commented on this os itself is that unlike other operating systems there are just too few applications available in its application store. Technically, he is referring to the most popular app called Whatsapp which is unavailable in this MeeGo-powered Nokia N9.The list of applications as the main menu.
The messaging application is very well organized. Messages are categorized in days and dates.
