A HIKE TO PANTAI KERACHUT

In the month of January 2010, just a few weeks before Shane left Malaysia to further his studies in Australia, together with Xiang Foong, we went for a hike to Pantai Kerachut in the morning.

We were at the begining of the hiking route to Pt. Kerachut.

In the middle of the hiking routine just next to the small rest house, we spotted a wild tortoise climbing on a huge rock heading towards a river below. That was the first time I saw such species of animal in there after my second hike.

We were 100m away from Pt. Kerachut, that is 5 minutes estimated time to reach it.

Now we are about a few steps closer to the sandy beach of Pt Kerachut before we cross the bridge. Sadly, the pond has no water as photographed in the brochure.

Three main reasons why I love the beach over there, Pt. Kerachut is unpolluted, quiet and truly nature.

It was an achievement to reach there after an hour or more time of hiking. I guess Shane and Xiang Foong enjoyed in Pt. Kerachut. After spending some time over there, we decided to climb back but we took a boat instead that costed us 100RM for just a boat. That's ridiculous! Well, overall we still enjoy our hike to Pt. Kerachut.

You may pay your visit over there if you are adventures enough. Do bring some snacks to overcome your hunger when you're hiking. :)
