Mom's Birthday

A celebration of my mom's birthday in Irish Pub & restaurant in Straits Quay Mall. That was my second time having my meals there after subway's! We ordered Crispy Whole Pork Knuckle as our dinner, sharing. The portion served was so big enough to serve at least four persons but we were only in the table for three!

Not surprising, that night was a quite night due the the school reopening on the next day but it was an awesome night with my stomach filled and expanded! Besides, the Irish beer served tastes good! Comparing to other ordinary beers in the markets? Nah, this tastes better for me. The cocktails was nice too!

Mom! Happy Birthday! We love you!

Displays of Lights in Kek Lok Si

Having your visits to Kek Lok Si Temple during Chinese New Year in Penang are going to be an eye-opening event. The displays of lights in Kek Lok Si happens only once in every Chinese New Year starting from evening. It was that night when my friends and I decided to visit the displays of light in Kek Lok Si. To be honest, the temple will be crowded by hundreds and even thousands of people from the local and the outstation every night during the period of the event. It is packed in short. Some of us, especially me were late for the event planned for an hour together with my other friends.

It was such a great yet can be also an enjoyable night for us despite the heat we experienced in the crowd. We spent our time walking around the temple, praying, and yeah we hung out in the temple until the lights were off then only we finally headed back home. Below, is the first HD video I recorded throughout that night. Enjoy!

The Sweet Childhood Memories

Everybody has their own cherishable childhood memories no matter what kind of memories they are. Usually most of these childhood memories happened in an exact location or place like mine, my grandmother's house. All relatives will gather together in my grandmother's house when they are here from outstation, Chinese New Year, and any other events especially holidays. They are all started and happened before I was born and since I was a little kid. Months ago, it has been sold off. The memories can be only cherished through the memories and as well as the photos of us taken in our grandmother's house.

Flashing back on those years, my cousins and I were having fun playing together in the house and during the Chinese New Year with firecrackers bought from both Chinese and Indian grocery store located nearby to our grandmother's house. Of course, there were those super firecrackers too! Ah, Those are happened in preceeding years. I am pretty sure that the memories my throughout the generation before mine are the sweetest! Going on with the packing and moving of the old furnitures, we were so amazed to find something that were brought here from China by my grandmother which we think they are from dynasty before China has fallen into a communist country that you will be able to find the photo from the album below. It took us about 4 to 5 days to finish up our effort of moving off the old furnitures before the house was handed to 2 representatives from a company.

Life goes on, I will miss my grandmother's house so does everyone...

Curiosity of what antique stuff we found when we are moving the furnitures or the structure of a heritage house? You are able to see them here.

A Friend's Farewell

A farewell for a friend, Yvonne who has left Malaysia in Gurney Plaza after Chinese New Year. She was previously taking the same course as ours but left us earlier to further her studies oversea. Had our lunch together in Kim Gary's Restaurant before we watched "I Love Hong Kong".

The movie, "I Love Hong Kong" was a nice comedy movie. Laughters can be heard throughout the cinema as well as mine. Frankly, I never really enjoy such our Chinese comedy movie despite those tv series and those movies that is something to do with wars. Everyone got their ice-cream in their hands right after the movie where we had our chilling moment outside McDonald's.

We had western food as our dinner somewhere nearby to Gurney Plaza. I am unable to remember its name but as far as I know, the restaurant's house number is number 1 in I am not mistaken. It was an awesome dinner where we were able to sit down in a roundtable inside of the restaurant and the ladies were also had their chance of watching some tv entertainment show that broadcasting Anthony's singing performance.

Yvonne, I wish you the best of luck in furthering your studies abroad.
