Chinese New Year in Year 2011!

This year's Chinese New Year was one of the most remarkable celebration as compared to the preceeding years despite celebrating our Chinese New Year in Penang itself, we also celebrated it in my uncle's house in Kuala Lumpur together as we were invited by our aunt weeks before Chinese New Year.

Let's start with the first day of Chinese New Year, both my parents and I together with my uncles' families, we visited our relatives in Penang after lunch and our meeting in grandmother's house. One-by-one, we visited our relatives especially the eldest from ascending order which was the eldest until the youngest. The joy and chances to sit down together chit chatting throughout the year was rare other than Chinese New Year, the chatters and laughters were eventually louder and louder as the scale of joy was indeed increasing and increasing! The day one of Chinese New Year was ended when we ended and departed from our last station of visit that day in the evening.

Going on from the second day of the Chinese New Year and onwards, my third uncle and his sons were carpooling with us from Penang to Kuala Lumpur. Oh my! The entire journey in the distance was really tiring yet squeezed until my butt was numb all the way down to Kuala Lumpur. Luckily, the blood circulations were finally able flow smoothly through my butt as we had our toilet breaks. It was just about in time, we all arrived before the Lion Dance started after the firing of the fire crackers in the afternoon. It took about an hour for the lions to dance through every single corner of the house from the downstairs to the upstairs. Then we had our rest until evening when the dinner was served with traditional dishes and there was also one special steamed prawns cooked by my cousin, Ming Deng who came back from United States sometime ago and now he was back to the States. After the dinner, we, cousins brought Tyson out for his evening walk while of course my cousins they were playing with the fire crackers which were very loud! Then we visited our long relative living nearby whom I never see them before. Yep, we young people are owls of the animal kingdom when it comes to the night. After the visit to the long relative's house, we all went for supper in SS2.

On the second day, all of us woke up early in the morning and had our brunch in Xin Cuisine located in Concorde Hotel. I love that place because of their dim sums served were so delicious! After filling up our stomaches, we walked our way to Suria KLCC by monorail. Such adventure were so excited yet enjoyable although it was hot but as most of the time, we usually go to our destinations by cars. We walked across the Pavilion Mall where the Chinese New Year decorations were so grand! The walking distance was not that long as expected, we arrived Suria KLCC safely. Spent sometime window shopping in the Suria KLCC before we met up together in Kinokuniya at the top floor where I purchase myself a motivating book from there, that was our last stop before walking back from KLCC to Concorde Hotel using another road which it was surprisingly even faster! We watched horror movie at my uncle's house in the evening while waiting for the dinner to be served. It was a tradition when all of us sit down and watch horror movie with my cousins since I were a small kid when we celebrated our preceeding Chinese New Years in our grandmother's house.

The third day, goodbyes and appreciations were said before we left our uncle's house after celebrated our 2011 Chinese New Year. We spent an hour or two in 1 Utama before we really headed back to Penang. Well, that were the my events happened during the Chinese New Year. New Year, Chinese New Year, and so on, everyone is getting older and older each year. Have you revised your future plans and the lessons that you had learnt from those years before? Even me myself find that it is hard to answer this question myself.

Chinese New Year Reunion Dinner 2011

Having Chinese New Year reunion dinner together with relatives in Eastern & Oriental Hotel on the day before Chinese New Year. The same favorable place - Sarkies Corner, where all of us enjoy our buffet dinner there. It was year 2011, time really flies. The most attracting food in the buffet dinner at E&O's was their desserts designed, baked, and arranged on the tables in the middle of the path. I am pretty sure that the desires and the eagerness of laying their taste buds on each of the desserts arranged on the table of every individual is a 100 percent.

Let the photos deliver how tasty are the buffet dinner is especially the desserts:

We spent a great dinner all together that night, enjoying the musics dedicated and performed by a band, and of course the dance performed by my aunt too! Ah! How I wish to gain more weights this year and on that night by consuming numerous desserts on different plates of mine.

New Year, new wishes to my ba, ma, and my brother who is currently in the US:
"身体健康,
万事如意,
顺顺利利,
财源滚进!"
