Penang Food Paradise #2 : Penang Hokkien Dishes

Do you know, Penang Island, an island with the common language of a variant of Minnan that is widely spoken by the descendants of Chinese settlers years and years ago? Not surprising, in this island of food paradise, there is one restaurant serving the hokkien dishes which usually I prefer to go. Especially those who are finding Fried Oyster Noodle ( known as Oh Mee ), here is the place I rated 5 stars personally. If you mind to wait during the lunch hour or holidays for the dishes in the restaurant, do have some snacks before you go. Besides the Fried Oyster Noodle that is quite common in Penang Island itself, both of these Stir-Fried Firm Beancurd with Leeks & Prawns and Starched Pork Soup ( also known as Bak Kee ) are the common dishes on the tables in the restaurant.

Of course, there are not only these dishes available but it is well known of those three dishes mentioned above where and when most of the customers who visit the restaurants most likely to order them primarily. The restaurant, Sin Lean Heang Restaurant, is located around the start of Jelutong Expressway where you will see rows of flats on your left and also two traffic lights ahead from the Penang welds. You will have to make a left turn in the second traffic light and go straight before you make a right turn at the T-junction, the restaurant is located below a L-shaped flats.
